Article: She Does the City
When we are on the outside of addiction, we’re often confused about why the addict can’t see what we see. We hear from others or say to ourselves “why can’t he stop? Why isn’t he taking this seriously?” What we’re doing is applying logic. That is how our brains work. It’s our primary tool. But that isn’t the operating system that addiction uses. I write about what that processs was like for me in She Does the City.
